Payments, Fraud and Identity Analyst
Jake Lemming
I joined PointsBet in 2021 through Customer Service and have since progressed into an Analyst role within our Payments & Fraud team. My time here has been full of learning, growth and the chance to make meaningful contributions. In my current role, I collaborate across teams and with external partners to create secure and efficient operations. I’m involved in refining internal process improvements; team development and strategic data initiatives, aimed at reducing risk and improving outcomes. What I value most at PointsBet is the culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Every challenge is met with an opportunity to build something better, and I feel fortunate to be surrounded by people who are always ready to back each other in.

I joined PointsBet in 2020 through the Manila team. In 2024, I relocated to Australia and began working from the Melbourne office in the Finance department. What I appreciate most about PointsBet is the flexibility, diversity, and the many opportunities for growth. I started my journey in sports trading in 2020 and have since gained experience across various areas, including Quantitative Research, Product and Analytics. Currently, I work as a Business Intelligence Analyst, where I help transform data into actional insights to support PointsBet’s strategic decision making. Throughout my time at PB, I've been fortunate to work in a great environment that has supported my growth, helping me develop a broad skill set and build a career path I hadn’t initially anticipated when I first joined. I joined PointsBet in 2017 as a Customer Service Operator while completing my university studies. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to grow within the business, progressing through roles in Sports Trading and Business Intelligence Reporting, before transitioning to the Marketing team, where I currently serve as a Data Science Manager. Throughout my eight years at PointsBet, I've been fortunate to receive the flexibility and support needed to complete both my undergraduate and master’s degrees alongside my professional responsibilities. This opportunity has allowed me to grow both personally and professionally and is something I’m very grateful for.

I joined PointsBet in 2022 as a Customer Service Agent and have since progressed into my current role as Technical Performance Lead. Throughout my journey, I developed a passion for automation and process improvement and have enjoyed exploring how technology can help create smarter, more efficient ways of working. I love working across departments to solve problems and build tools that remove friction and create better experiences for both our people and our customers. What I enjoy most about PB is the open-minded culture and the trust to take initiative. I've had the chance to grow into roles I never expected, contribute to meaningful change, and work with incredibly talented teams. I joined PointsBet in 2021 as a Casual Sports Trader after completing my university degree. I wasn't entirely sure what I wanted to pursue in my career and PointsBet gave me the opportunity to do exciting work with extremely supportive and intelligent people. Over the last 4 years PointsBet has continually provided me with challenging and engaging experiences. I have now transitioned into a Team Lead position and am enjoying the new phase of my career - managing and developing those that are starting their journey much like I did in 2021. I look forward to the coming years at PointsBet and I know that they will empower and encourage any further ambitions I have.
Data Scientist - Trading
Alex Colbert
PointsBet was my first job after finishing university almost 4 years ago, and I've been here (and loved it) ever since. I started as a Sports Content Trader, where I gained industry knowledge and worked on the operational front line with a young, dynamic team. Many companies talk about how they prioritise the development of internal talent, but I can attest that PB makes it a front-of-mind priority. While I was a trader, I was given the opportunity to develop in the Marketing Data Science team, which was a springboard into the Trading Data Science team. This role has allowed me to gain experience in solving commercial, analytical and mathematical problems, which while posing challenges, has been thoroughly enjoyable. The trust and autonomy PointsBet provides has skyrocketed my personal and professional development.

Manish Mehta
PointsBet has been an exciting company to work for and has given me plenty of opportunities to work across multiple teams. While at university, I initially applied for a role as a Sports Trader, and this allowed me to understand how a wagering company operates and manages risk. Since then, thanks to the strong focus that PointsBet has on career progression, I’ve had opportunities to work in the Quants, Reporting and Data Engineering teams. These varying experiences have all been really enjoyable and allowed me to expand my skillset, giving me the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects.
Head of Delivery
Jodie Coomer
I joined PointsBet in 2022 as Head of Enterprise PMO, supporting Tech Operations and delivery teams in the USA. My role quickly expanded as I managed the business reset program following the sale of our US operations and gained invaluable experience navigating M&A activity and large-scale change. In 2024, I was offered the chance to step in as Head of HR, covering a maternity leave. This opportunity gave me profound insights into the wider business, deepening my understanding of how every function contributes to success. I have since returned to Technology as Head of Delivery, now equipped with broader business acumen and a renewed leadership perspective. PB has consistently provided me with significant growth opportunities. It’s a dynamic environment - perfect for anyone eager to learn, take on new challenges and develop as a leader.

I joined PointsBet 7 years ago as a Delivery Manager and quickly moved into Product Management. What I love most about working at PointsBet is the culture, the opportunities for growth and learning and the fun events they put on for staff. Long term, I have big plans for my future at PointsBet. I want to become a Product Lead and have more authority over our promotions offering and being the best in the industry. I want to establish myself as a subject matter expert and make key decisions that will lead my team to success.
Manager of Internal Audit
Nicole Chodelka
I joined PointsBet as the third member of a newly formed Internal Audit team, and the first based in Australia. I initially reported into the United States, and my role focused on establishing the local IA function while supporting and contributing to global audits. Four years on, I now lead our Internal Audit from Australia. It’s been a rewarding journey so far, and I’ve loved taking on new challenges and growing with the business. I’m proud of how far we’ve come and excited about what’s still ahead for Internal Audit at PointsBet.
Compliance Analyst

I joined PointsBet in 2024 as a Compliance Analyst, and since then, the business has actively supported my journey to transition onto the 482 Sponsored Visa. I enjoy the fast-paced environment and challenges that come with working in the wagering industry. I have been able to build many strong working relationships across various teams, which has helped to improve my knowledge of the business and broaden my skill set.
